The tomb of Yuya was found in 1905 in the Valley of the Kings in Thebes in Tomb No. 46 by Theodore Davis and was attended by Gaston Maspero, who was the director of the Egyptian Museum. Yuya's mummy was found inside three coffins, one of them inside the other, in addition to the coffin of his wife Toya, a number of statues and vessels, three wooden chairs, two beds and a war wheel. The contents of the tomb were transferred to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
